Urban Wildlife Sighting No. 2
See if you can count the NFL football-sized bats in this tree outside our kitchen window. Watching them fly around, they have about a 3-foot wingspan.

It's just our luck that the worlds largest bats would live right outside our window. At least they don't crave flesh.

Fruit. So the textbooks say. But they didn't see that crazy look they had in their blind little eyes!
Too funny. Katie is sitting on my lap as we browse through your pics. Upon seeing the bats and clicking on the link, she declared "the rats scare me!"
Maybe you could make friends with the bats. They like fruit, give 'em some raisins. Support the Central Valley.
